Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine: August 2013.

You can't go to Maine without getting lobster!

Even Shamus had a lobster lunch.
Beautiful Maine scenery.

Dinner with the cat.

Blackwoods Campground in Acadia National Park was a very nice campground.

We had a beautiful ride on some of the many carriage trails.

Lunch and popovers on the lawn of the Jordan Pond House.

Shamus hunts for fishy things at low tide.

Having a good time listening to the waves.
Checking out the cannons.
Sunrise on Cadillac Mountain

Cadillac Mountain is the highest point on the eastern seaboard and the first place to view the sunrise in the United States.

Elaine made a wonderful picnic breakfast that we ate on the rocks overlooking the ocean

I love the boats!

Elaine got me a whale watching tour for my birthday and we got our money's worth.

It was freezing on the whale watching boat.
Getting some sweets before we hit the road.

Pennsylvania to Maine, August 2013.

The Tappen Zee Bridge leading in to New York City, we had left the Rolling Home Rally the day before and spent the night at Black Moshannon State Park in Pennsylvania. It is a beautiful park and we wished we had more time to check it out.
Shamus gives his disapproval of my driving style.
We took a quick drive through Mystic, Connecticut just to say hi to the seaport.
Boston's Big Dig
We stopped for the night at my nephew Kevin and his wife Heidi's house in Pawtucket. RI.
We had a wonderful dinner, afterwards we went over to Providence for Waterfire

Elaine loving the fires.

Waterfire is over eighty fire pits in the rivers that flow through Providence. This gives a great backdrop for the street festivals that accompany it.

Heidi and Kevin.

Shamus is checking out the surroundings.
Lobster Benedict at the...

Modern Diner in Pawtucket.

Very cool Streamline Diner.

Time to say Goodbye. Kevin, Heidi and Elaine.
