Bennett Spring State Park: Lebanon, Missouri. March 2009

Time for a spring fishing trip.

Campsite 417. It wasn't the campsite we had reserved, but the park compensated for it by giving us a certificate for a free night of camping.

This is a view towards the spring. The spring has an average flow of 103 million gallons per day.

Spring has arrived. The flowers are budding,

the spiders are building their webs,

and the bobber trees are in full bloom.

The C.C.C. built the bridge, the hatchery, dining lodge and several other buildings.

The Whistle Bridge. We call them steel culverts, but regionally they are called tin whistles, hence the Whistle Bridge.

Elaine and Shamus on the Bluff Trail

Hiking sticks (which we never remember to take when we go hiking)

Dutch oven creations-Sausage and Beans

The hatchery dam
